Nicole Kidman Spotted in Public for First Time Since Divorce Filing from Keith Urban

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman was seen in public on Wednesday in Nashville, marking her first appearance since she filed for divorce from her husband, country star Keith Urban, after 19 years of marriage. Kidman, 58, was photographed going on a hike with her sister, Antonia Kidman, as she tried to maintain some normalcy amid the upheaval. She wore a casual ensemble — oversized sunglasses, a grey zip-up jacket, a matching baseball cap, and simple black leggings. The images show her walking along a trail, looking calm but focused. 

The actress filed for divorce in Nashville on September 30, with court documents citing irreconcilable differences. She listed the same day as their separation date. Kidman and Urban were married in June 2006 and share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. From her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, Kidman is also a mother to Bella and Connor. 

Insiders tell PEOPLE that the Kidman family rallied around Nicole in the days following the split announcement. Antonia, in particular, has been described as “a rock” for her sister amid the emotional strain. According to sources, Nicole tried hard to keep the marriage together but “didn’t want this” outcome.


Those close to the couple say their lives had drifted in different directions. Friends noticed that Keith Urban had begun setting up a separate residence, fueling speculation of an inevitable separation. The split itself was confirmed on September 29, though people connected to them say the separation had been felt well before that.
